I was only able to connect a call when using the functions on my cell phone. The base phone itself doesn't ring, it doesn't dial, it doesn't answer/disconnect calls by lifting and replacing the handset -- it's useless!Pyle customer service (which took 4 days to reach; not one of my three voicemails was returned) told me I had a defective product. After returning and receiving a new one, I had the exact same issues. The second one is going back today. Such a disappointment.
