Complete Forgery

The item shipped was not a set of "Genuine Original Apple Earpods" as listed the the description at all. These are a complete knockoff. The sound quality is not even one tenth the sound the actual Apple Earpods produce. There is no bass, barely even a quality high end. Putting the volume at halfway with the Earpods is comfortable for me; the knock off headphones provided by the seller had to have the volume at max to even come close. There is no comparison: these are fake and should not be listed as Earpods.Be smart and save your time and money. It's tempting to try a cheaper set of Earpods hoping that they will be the same. Make no mistake, these are a forgery and should be avoided at all costs.

Better than the old ones, but still not for me.

The original earbuds from Apple hurt my ears immediately on insertion. I've used mine as a remote trigger for the camera, but after a couple of attempts gave up on using them as intended. I looked at the new design and thought I'd give it a try. Much better! My ears didn't hurt for tens of minutes.... and not as badly as the old ones did right off the bat. I gave them to my wife and she loves the new design and they don't hurt her ears at all.Bottom line, if most earbuds hurt after a short while, these probably will too. If the old Apple earbuds hurt, but other earbuds don't, you may have great service from these. I've found that for my tender ears I need soft tipped buds that fit in the ear canal if I'm going to listen for more than a minute or two.

Wonderful sound quality and volume BUT

I use my iPhone to listen to Audible Books when I walk. The volume was so low using the earbuds that came with the phone that I had to choose walking areas that had no traffic or I couldn't hear. These new earbuds have great volume - no problem and they are only turned to half volume love it! But the mic doesn't work at all. I haven't looked into it any more deeply but it doesn't seem to do anything promised. Perhaps they are defective and I just haven't taken the time to deal with it. But I do love the volume and sound quality of the earbuds so I would keep them even if the mic doesn't work.

Nice if your iPhone is NOT in a case

I bought this for use on my desk, with my iPhone 5. As you may know, for the iPhone 5 Apple relocated the 3.5 mm jack from the top of the iPhone to the bottom, and while this stand is compatible with the new arrangement, it is NOT compatible with the Lifeproof Defender case that I have on my iPhone. First, there is the Lifeproof's 3.5 mm jack extension that you must use if you want to connect headphones or, in this case, a handset, to your iPhone while it is in its case, and that extension prevents the iPhone from being able to lie in the cradle properly, with it's bottom flush against the base.Second, in order to connect the lightning cable to the iPhone you have to open the Lifeproof's small jack cover, which then sticks out and makes it difficult (but not impossible) to position the iPhone correctly on the stand. I should add that reviewers of the previous version of this item have mentioned that it is so lightweight it is easily - and inadvertently - pulled across the surface of whatever it's sitting on, unless you try to weigh it down or fasten it. That design flaw remains a problem with this newer model.Finally, the handset is a little smaller than it should be, in my view, but is not too bad. Competing handsets fashioned after old-school telephones have larger handsets that are more easily and comfortably held between the ear and shoulder, but they tend to suffer from inferior sound. The redeeming feature of this product, however, is its excellent sound quality - both on the receiving and transmitting end - and the fact that the button on the handset for answering and disconnecting calls actually works, unlike those of competitors.Overall this thing is worth its relatively modest price, and until someone produces a desktop cradle and handset that has zero issues (for which I'd gladly shell out $100+), this will have to suffice.

it is a novelty piece, people see and want one of their own! it is light weight and, after a couple of days the phone stopped sticking to platform and i just attached a velcro strip on the back of the phone and it is sturdy and just fine....I am just not sending it back...it works just fine!

You get what you pay for!

This is a pretty cheap knock off of the real thing. It's ok, if you like the look and feel of cheap plastic and have a fear of snapping things in half. Granted this is a fraction of the product Apple sells, your also getting a fraction of the quality. The sound that ones out of these ear buds is muffled and!!!!! Unevenly distributed! You feel almost lopsided when walking around with these things on. Also the product says theres a mic and remote control... Theyre LYING! Strictly an only fashion y-shaped earbuds nothing special, with no dazzle. If you need a quick fix it's ok for temporary uses, but not something to use in the long haul.

Several design issues

I really want to like these headphones, but there's several issues I've had after using them for a few days. I'll preface first, though, by saying that sound quality is pretty good. Not excellent, but pretty good for the inexpensive earbud range.There's several issues, though. First, I have a ton of difficulty getting the buds to stay in my ears with any of the included sizes. I can get them in, but after a few minutes of listening, they start sliding out. Having to constantly readjust becomes tiresome after only a few minutes. As some have noted, the bass richness is actually pretty good for earbuds, but obtaining a fairly rich base is contingent upon getting these fully in your ears and keeping them there. And, again, that's difficult to do. After they move even slightly, I completely lose that rich bass and they sound just like your standard ipod earbuds.I also find the cord to be a design issue. Instead of rounded cords (like a strand of spaghetti), these earbuds are equipped with a flat cord (more akin to fettucini... can you tell I'm Italian?). Noisehush claims the cords are designed to be tangle-free, and I suppose they work, as I haven't gotten them tangled yet. BUT, this design makes the cord flatter and heavier such that any movement to the cord - from turning your head, to brushing them with your hand, to them rubbing on your shirt - produces vibrations that resonate all the way up into the earpieces. This means constant vibrations and banging in your ears, which is beyond annoying. I've never experienced anything like this with any other headphones.So overall, while the sound is pretty good, the design issues are really noticeable. I wish I could throw my support behind them, but honestly, if I had to purchase them again - I would not.

Monster, watch out!!!

These definitely stay better in the ear while walking vs. the Monster Beats!!! That makes it 5 stars already for me. The $100 Dr Dre ear buds dont sound any better than these ear phones. Save your money and get these Noise hush earphones. The highs aren't overbearing. Think of these as a warmer sounding set of Dr. Dre...LOL! Better for my audiophile tastes. Bass heavy audio, and poor mic. quality

.After seeing that the majority of buyers where giving this product 5 stars I decided to give it a try. It seems that most of the headsets I've tried to use with my Droid Bionic are lacking wither in comfort or quality in sound. This unit seems well made and the packaging is excellent, but for my purposes it's a just OK headset. The audio is ok, with decent mid's and highs' but the Bass is over exaggerated. The issue that really bothers me with this headset is the audio quality though. I have been searching for a wired headset hoping it will perform better than the Bluetooth headsets I have. With this headset I was told to take it off because people said it was muffled and not distinct, and when compared to the speakerphone app on my phone it short in terms of call quality.Over all this might be ok for the $16.99 that it currently sells for, but there are better solutions. If you want something to listen to music, (if you are not picky about balanced sound) and take casual calls this might work for you. For those who like exaggerated Bass this might be a good headset for you, but I would not recommend it to anyone who wants good clarity in calls or a flat balanced sound in music.
