3Great Call Quality. Iffy Functionality. Terrible Support.
By Rich Heimlich
I've had my eye on this product for quite some time. I really have had hideously bad experiences with wireless headsets and despise having to constantly charge yet another device. I've also had only slightly better luck with most corded headsets as they are often too cheap, lack volume or features. This one seemed like it might be the perfect "fit" for me.The shape and feel as excellent. It easily sits on the ear. The ear piece easily sits in the ear at just the right angle and the boom reaches just far enough out to be effective as a boom mike. Furthermore the call quality both outbound and inbound is excellent. Callers hear me with ease and I hear them equally well.Where the trouble starts is with the single button on the cable. It's supposed to act as a Flash/Hang-up function or, if held for a second, trigger a Voice Dialing response. I bought three of these for use on three different phones and all three do the same thing (iPhone 3, iPhone 4 and a Motorola Droid). The button will answer a call or hang up a current call. However, it will not, on any of the phones, trigger voice dialing. Instead it launches the music app on all 3 phones for no apparent reason.I contacted support by e-mail after waiting over an hour on hold one day and explained the entire situation and asked for help. What I got back was a broken English response simply regurgitating the user manual to me and not addressing the issue at all.If this final issue could be fixed this one would be a 4 and if support were reliable it would be a 5-star review. Instead it's stuck at a three. It works but with trade-offs.

4Pretty darn good...best out there, for now and for HTC EVO
By Luminosa
Well, when recently I left behind my sturdy little Samsung Rant phone I also left behind a very beloved Plantronics 2.5 mm jack headset. THAT headset was awesome: had an online volume control; was NOT an earbud which seemed much kinder to my ears; easily switched between right and left ear as desired; excellent incoming and outgoing sound quality. After a few phone upgrade glitches I wound up with an HTC EVO. But do not want to use a Bluetooth headset. Yikes: I have a 2 hour round trip commute made palatable by using the time for quality (safe, handsfree...) phone time. With the new phone suddenly my wired headset options TANKED. Most corded headsets out there are designed to multi-task for both music listening and phone calls; most of these are stereo earbud configuration with an in-line mic at the chest level...a problem because none that I found had any noise reduction properties and that made for crappy call quality - it seems that call quality takes a back seat to most music listening properties. SO......................................................................Continuing my quest for a decent wired headset for a Droid phone: I saw this and based on the other reviews it seemed worthwhile so I got it. Here is my experience to date:PROS1) VERY comfortable headset2) My callers all say the sound quality on their end is the best of anything I have yet tried on the new phone...clear, natural, etc.3) Online button is geared towards a Droid phone (maybe IPhone too, but I would not know); it works great for Answer/End Call, which is not particularly amazing, but it also has a feature where if you hold it in for a couple seconds it will bring up your Voice Dialing software and it works great for use of that feature.CONS:1) For me: I don't like ear buds: not good to have no air circulation in your ear canal as that is part of how the natural biological hearing function works - soundwaves w/circulating air. Based on my experience with other headsets, I would definitley rather have the earpiece sit against the ear canal rather than pressed into it.2) I have had slightly muffled sound quality from my callers. I think it is particularly true for those who are ON a bluetooth headset; it has not been crystal clear on all my calls at all. Sometimes I have to get them to repeat something they are saying throughout the conversation. No one I have called however has complained about my voice quality.3) No volume control on the headset: when it is on and I call, the ringer on the other end it LOUD...but then the voice of person I call may not be loud. I have toggled the volume on my fine little phone a lot but it doesn't really fine tune the sound quality on the headpiece (for calls) much at all..only minimally. So, with this said, all in all, this headset is worthwhile if you want a wired headset for an HTC EVO or other 3.5 MM phone. If even SOME of the things on my CONS list were addressed, this would definitely be a 5* headset.(NOTE: It comes with a 3.5 MM jack that is designed for HTC and several other brands; interestingly, it also comes with adapters for 2.5 MM phone jacks and, what I found weird, for 3.5MM jack for Samsung phones. Just before HTC I went through 2 Samsung smartphones and amongt the nightmare that was those phones was that I could not even begin to find a headset that would work AT ALL...not sure why Samsung has a different 3.5 MM jack than the 'standard' 3.5 MM jack....)

5Just what I was looking for.
By Joe Sparks
I purchased this headset for my iPhone 4. Though I've used Bluetooth headsets in the past, I like to have a good high-quality corded headset on hand. I'm intolerably bad about keeping all my devices charged and one less item to connect to the charger at night helps. The call quality is fantastic--both incoming and outgoing. I've used it both indoors and outdoors and wind or ambient noise is never a problem.Audio quality is very good. These aren't going to replace a good pair of headphones for music, but I've found myself using this headset at the office to catch some Pandora or keep up on my podcasts. The button on the cord is an added bonus. Despite the remarks of a previous reviewer, I've had no problem getting the button to trigger voice-dialing. Just hold it down for a couple of seconds and the voice-command panel on my iPhone jumps to the ready. All in all, a fantastic headset for those looking for a corded alternative at a reasonable price.
