By mjm923
The mm70i is a great set of ear buds, they're by no means noise cancelling, but they aren't advertised as such. They fit into the ear well and stay there with multiple tip options. The range of sound is good and the remote works well. As someone who never was able to find ear buds that were comfortable/stayed in my ears I was thrilled when I bought these on a whim in an airport. I was even more disappointed when I left them on a plane last week so I immediately logged on to Amazon to purchase a new pair. This is where the buyer beware comes into play - the product that I received from ProAudioDeal are not actually Sennheiser ear buds, but rather a high quality counterfeit. After receiving the ear buds and noticing that the sound quality was not near what I had experienced with the airport pair combined with an obnoxious "boom" that could be heard anytime the cord was bumped I started doing some research on the product and found that fakes were all over the market and it was a big problem for Sennheiser. It became really evident that the pair I had ordered were not authentic. I went to Best Buy and purchased another pair for comparison and immediately it was evident something was off. The pair from ProAudioDeal didn't have a sticker seal on the box, the cord was plastic feeling (opposed to the rubberized cord from the authentic pair) and the carrying case that came with the ProAudioDeal wasn't real leather (the authentic one had a real leather case)... most importantly there was no "boom" with the pair from BestBuy.The pair I ordered from ProAudioDeal are on their way back to them. For those looking to buy these headphones I suggest you visit the Sennheiser website and look at their approved retailers, of which ProAudioDetail is not one.Again - great product, however disappointing experience.

By Meghan
After 2 years of use, I finally killed my beloved Sennheiser MM 50 iP headset. Since their death was due to user error, I went looking for a replacement set, and found the "better" MM 70 iP headset instead. Talk about messing with a good thing! The biggest issue is that the cables on the MM 70 have been completely redesigned, and are now a total mess. It's a bizarre hybrid of Y and J style-design that manages to avoid the best of both styles, resulting in cables going every which way but comfortable. And even with the included shirt clip, they don't stay where you want them. Despite the clip, the cables tend to slide everywhere, and if you pull the earbuds out to lay on your shoulders, there's a good chance they'll end up falling off. Speaking of the shirt clip, it's designed to clip onto the thicker part of the cable, but due to the placement of the mic and the Y connector, the clip is so low I feel like I'm clipping it on my stomach! And to top it all off, the connector at the headphone split is heavy enough that even with the shirt clip, it pulls the whole headset down and to the left. The mic now includes volume controls along with the play/pause button, and while the volume buttons are nicely placed and easily found via touch, the play/pause button is so recessed between them that it's hard to press, sometimes taking 3 tries before it works.Cable issues aside, the sound quality is good, at least on par with my mm 50 iP series and perhaps even better. But it just wasn't enough to make up for how uncomfortable the mm 70 is for me to wear.In the end, after only one day, I packed the MM 70s back up and ordered a new set of the mm 50.

By minacciosa
These buds were purchased to offer compact noise isolation and reasonable sound when traveling light. While no one would confuse this item with an audiophile solution, the sound is more than good enough to satisfy and the noise isolation is effective, though by no means does it completely block absolutely all background activity. The sound performance doesn't offer the typically accentuated and unbalanced bass performance upon which most popular musics thrive (and which some consumers seek and expect), so sometimes bass lines can "blend" depending upon the level and frequency of lower range background noise. The buds' performance can best be described as well-rounded with a bit of an emphasis upon the treble, which can become harsh if pushed at maximum volume. Most of my listening is of classical music, which places heavy dynamic demands upon any headset's performance capabilities. If volume is a concern, fear not, for these buds can holla if you want them too. I was surprised by how good the isolation turned out to be and found myself quite satisfied while listening on a variety of aircraft. No problem with the cords or the attached volume controls. These earbuds are sold with a small pouch that can fit easily into a pocket (great for travel) and several sizes of buds. It's a solid product and definitely recommended.
