I really wanted this to be good. The design looks nice. I like over the ear designs and I like the microphone being closer to my mouth. Unfortunately this design doesn't work very well. The over the ear wire isn't adjustable in any way and flops around a good deal unless you've got enormous ears. The earpiece itself doesn't fit in the ear (it's not supposed to) and the sound is just too quiet. Since it just rests against the outside of the ear, it needs to be louder in order to be heard. I tried turning up the phone as loud as it will go and I tried every position and it just didn't improve. I have other earpieces that ARE loud enough. (I don't suffer from any hearing loss, by the way!)I thought if I just bit the bullet and paid a few more bucks I'd get better quality, but not in this case.

i carry this with me all the time so if i want to make calls while driving - it's the safest way to go - talking while holding phone in one hand and turning a corner with the other ... no good thing can come of that!!! [;-)

I ended up using this relatively cheap and basic mono headset more than the more expensive double stereo headsets I also purchased. I can confidently recommend these for just talking on the phone. If you are listening to music on your smart phone, not so much. I purchased one of these in January, 2013 for my brand new Samsung Galaxy Relay smart phone.The reason is that it is simpler and quicker to put in your ear, less tangling of the cords, and the mic is a bit closer to your mouth so talking into the mic seemed to work better. The mic also does not rub up against your clothing and create noise. I take the simple plastic wrap around the ear piece off, and the remaining round earphone stays in my ear just fine, for a good 5 to 10 minutes at a time, and then just a little re-adjustment. The boom out to the mic easily bends some so you can have it snug against your cheek, adding a bit of stability to the portion in your ear. Also, unlike earbuds, the round plastic and rubber ear piece sets lightly in the outer portion of your ear. I find this more comfortable for longer calls, say the 30 to 60 minute variety. I bought two more and use them a lot, keeping one in the car, where its easy handling and quick placement is even more important while driving.
