I received the ear phones Saturday, plenty of time to compare with many of my other earphones. The reference set being Bower and Wilkins C5 with iBeats, Diddy beats, Altech Lancing, Sony, koss metal, Bose, apple all four sets. I wanted to get an idea of what they sounded like.The package is very firm clear plastic and the phones are secured well. A full set of tips are in a little bag. Medium is already installed and you get another medium in the bag, nice! The body of each earplug is smooth and gun metal color, and sturdy feeling. Also they are small and fit good. Two gold color right and left tags, made of metal and large enough to see easy. That helps more than you think. The cord is different than other flat cords as in its not rubbery but kinds slick and firm, very easy to unwrap them. They are very flat! The start stop button is a little firm but I always thought that means it will hold up longer. The slider volume was a little hard getting used to because I have always used the three button kind. Once I slid it a few times, kinda cool and easy to dial in.The sound , like none of the others I own. The lows are punchy and clear, but not too strong as to drown out the highs. The bass drum kicks hard, I like that, has a club sound. The mids are reserved but full. The highs are not the kind that beams in the eardrums or harsh. They're laid back with good image. I think I could listen to them for hours.So for a low cost earphone set I was surprised that my other way more expensive earphone wasn't much better and some are less. I am glad to include these as the ones that don't go in the drawer. Oh buy the way the box says metallic housings. I did not see ceramic but I wouldn't know the difference anyway! Well worth the price very high value, which is rare!

We got the Alpatronix earphones because it had the built-in microphone and more comfortable ear inserts. However, this unit did not perform well compared to the earphones that came with the iPhone.The iPhone standard earphones are good quality headsets, but the earpieces are not comfortable to keep in your ears for too long. When the Alpatronix earphones arrived, this is what we noticed:Pros:1. The earpieces are very comfortable in the ears for extended periods of wearing.2. The cord will not tangle like convential, round wire earbuds.Cons:1. The volume control is a slider switch. This slider switch is not durable and it will not fully turn the sound up or down.2. The sound quality is far worse than the iPhone standard headsets.3. The microphone does not receive sound that well and sounds muffled to the person receiving the call. The iPhone microphone gives clear voice transmission.These earphones can work in a pinch, but there are far better headsets on the market.

My new headphones arrived within a couple days of placing my order. alpatronix has been awesome about quick deliveries and nice packaging.these headphones are by far the best headphones i've owned. no more knoted up cords& they look great. i like that they send three different size earbuds that areinterchangable, plus the ones that are already on the headphones themselves. they sound quality is the best of any headphone set i've had yet, and i have had dozens.everyone iv'e talked to on my phone says the mic is crystal clear and sounds just like im talking straight into my galaxy2s.overall i am extremly satified and would recomend them to anyone looking to buy a pair of headphones as a gift or for themselves.
