These are what you can expect for the price - they are retractable, they fit in your ears comfortably and if you listen to compressed MP3's you are probably fine with these. If you are into quality sound for ten times the price you can get ten times the sound quality.

Works better than I expected for the price. I purchased a more expensive one for my husband for Christmas, and it stinks. The sound quality is similar to the original unit, and the retraction really does work.
